Erling Haaland scored four minutes from time to ensure a 2-1 victory for Norway over the Ivory Coast in the World Cup Round of 32 in Dallas on Tuesday, ending the tournament for the Elephants.

The Ivorians let Haaland tap in a winner in front of goal for his fifth of the tournament after substitute Amad Diallo dribbled his way through for a 74th-minute equaliser.

Here are the ratings for the Ivorian players:

Yahia Fofana (6): No chance for the goalkeeper with Antonio Nusa’s exquisite opener six minutes before halftime and his defence left him exposed for the Haaland winner too.

Guela Doue (6): A tough afternoon for the right back dealing with Nusa, the tricky Norwegian left wing, who had a sterling afternoon trying his best on defence and attack.

Odilon Kossounou (5): The giant centre back was poor at set pieces and one of three defenders dragged out of position when needed most, allowing Haaland to net the winner.

Emmanuel Agbadou (6): Won eight of nine duels but like Kossounou left Haaland alone at the most vital moment of the game and, as a result, the Ivorians paid the price.

Ghislain Konan (7): Restored on the starting line-up on the left and had good numbers going forward. He was 100 per cent with his tackles and 77 per cent with accurate passes.

Franck Kessie (6): Excellent work rate again from the veteran but his touches were heavy and he got in the way on one or two scoring chances.

Ibrahim Sangare (7): Twice Sangare rescued his defenders with interceptions to deny the dangerous Haaland, and he kept the team going forward in the game.

Christ Inao Oulai (6): Was accurate with his passes in the middle, having been brought back into the team as one of three changes from the previous game against Curaçao.

Yan Diomande (7): His trickery, crosses from the left, and general attacking play were again impressive, and you can see why Liverpool are among his suitors, but he needed to produce a little extra to win this game.

Ange-Yoan Bonny (5): The target man upfront did very little for the team, and his selection has drawn much criticism.

Nicolas Pepe (6): After two goals in the last group game, Pepe was keen to impress again, but as hard as he tried, there was no way through.

Amad Diallo (8): Came in on the hour mark and made a vital stop on the goal line minutes later before scoring a brilliant individual effort to get the Ivorians back into the game.

Elye Wahi (5): Came on with 30 minutes left in the match to take the place of Bonny but made no impact.

Oumar Diakhite, Evann Guessand, and Bazoumana Toure also came on as substitutes but did not play long enough for a rating.
