India deliver masterclass chase to stun Australia

India booked their spot in the final of the ICC Women’s World Cup by beating defending champions Australia by five wickets at Navi Mumbai on Thursday.
Delivering a masterclass in chasing down a record 339 runs, the hosts stunned the defending World Campions by doing what this tournament does best – make history and will face fellow history makers, South Africa, in Sunday’s final.
Buoyed by a record 167-run stand between captain Harmanpreet Kaur and Jemimah Rodrigues - the highest ever for India in a World Cup knockout – and staunch home crowd support, India delivered a historic masterclass on home turf.
