PROFILE - ANGEL THEKISO: Inspired by a hero, Angel is ready for her shot

Watching a woman take command of a studio during a football match made Angel Thekiso believe that she too can reach her dreams. This gave birth to the dream of being a sports broadcaster.

The SuperSport MVP Talent Search felt like the right opportunity for her to pursue this dream.

“I’ve always wanted to be a broadcaster for SuperSport and specifically for football because after moving to Bloemfontein I started attending more games at the stadium. That is where I started falling in love with the sport itself.

"It has always been a dream for me to be a broadcaster. I will definitely bring more colour to the SuperSport screen, and I have plenty to offer.

"My love for sport started on the broadcasting side, I came across a woman on my screen, Carol Tshabalala. She made me fall in love with the world of broadcasting, you can see that she loves what she does and knows what she is talking about. She is my personal hero,” she says.

The Angel of the Free State believes that her bubbly personality will bring colour to the SuperSport viewers’ screens. She is in awe of how people from the City of Roses embrace all teams that play in her home town.

“My first sporting memory has to be Bloemfontein Celtic supporters and how they were always there supporting each and every team that played their matches in Bloemfontein. Any team that came to play got a warm welcome,” she explains.
