KwaZulu-Natal get home spoils in Carling Cup draw

Both semifinals of the Carling Knockout will be played in KwaZulu-Natal as Lamontville Golden Arrows were drawn at home to Marumo Gallants and Richards Bay will host Orlando Pirates.
The draw for the last four was conducted after Gallants’ emphatic 4-0 home win over Stellenbosch in Bloemfontein on Wednesday in the last of the quarterfinal ties.
The semifinals will be played on the weekend of 8-9 November but the exact date and venues will be announced in the next days by the Premier Soccer League.

Arrows and Gallants will be playing in the Betway Premiership in Umlazi on Saturday in what is now a dress rehearsal for the cup tie a week later.
Richards Bay compete in a third successive Carling Knockout semifinal and both two previous semis were played at home where they lost to Stellenbosch (0-3) in 2023 and Magesi (0-1) in 2004.
They were both played in Durban and it could be that they move the game against Pirates to a bigger stadium in Durban as well.
Pirates have won the competition previously but none of the other semifinalists have had previous success in the League Cup.
FULL DRAW:
Semifinal 1: Golden Arrows vs Marumo Gallants
Semifinal 2: Richards Bay vs Orlando Pirates
