St. Johnstone relegated from Scottish Premiership

St. Johnstone's 16-year stay in the Scottish Premiership was ended after a 2-1 defeat at Hearts on Wednesday and Ross County's late leveller to draw 1-1 at Dundee.
Saints dropped four points behind Ross County at the bottom of the table with one game to go.
A controversial 96th minute Ronan Hale penalty also gave County hope of avoiding the relegation play-off as they remain just two points adrift of Dundee.
Not the outcome we all wanted.

Saints fans, your support has been unwavering all season. From the bottom of our heart, thank you 💙#SJFC pic.twitter.com/m9vToGGyqg
A Barry Douglas own goal and Alan Forrest's strike inside the opening 31 minutes condemned St. Johnstone despite Graham Carey's fine free-kick pulling a goal back.
At the other end of the table, Hibernian secured third and a place in the Europa League qualifying rounds despite blowing a 2-0 lead to draw 2-2 at St. Mirren.
A point was enough to take Hibs four points clear of Aberdeen, who were thrashed 5-1 at home by Celtic.
The Dons face a daunting task of stopping Celtic completing a domestic treble in the Scottish Cup final on May 24.
A much-changed side named by Brendan Rodgers still had way too much for Aberdeen as goals from Maik Nawrocki, Yang Hyun-jun, Luke McCowan, Johnny Kenny and Adam Idah saw Celtic stroll to victory at Pittodrie.
Rangers remain 17 points back in second place after coming from behind to beat Dundee United 3-1 courtesy of a Cyriel Dessers double and Nicolas Raskin's strike.
